GENERAL MEMBERSHIP BUSINESS MEETING

MINUTES
The General Membership Business Meeting was held at the Hilton Austin Airport Hotel, in Austin, Texas, on Friday, February 4, 2005. Leonard Young, President, called the meeting to order at 8:20 a.m. and welcomed everyone present. Leonard Young introduced the Regional Directors present. Leonard Young asked all the Past Presidents of TMUA present to stand and be recognized.
NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND BOARD DIRECTORS
Leonard Young asked Jim Siddall, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, to state the list of nominees recommended by the Board. The list is noted below:
Will Wilde, President-Elect (not voted on)
Keith Bonds, Vice-President
Jim Siddall, Secretary/Treasurer
Region 1 – Ed Hanson, Spearman
Region 3 – Fiona Allen, Arlington
Region 5 – Reynaldo Cantu, Austin
Region 7 – Susan Butler, San Antonio Water System
At-Large – James Vines, Hempstead
Leonard Young asked for any nominations from the membership, and there were none. Ron McCuller made a motion that the nominees presented be approved. The motion was seconded, and the motion was approved.
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE:
Leonard Young asked Phil Boyd, Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, to announce the awards. Phil Boyd stated TMUA gave three $500 scholarships this year to Jason Pierce, Brian Daugette, and Andrew Thomas Smith.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Julie Smith presented Leonard Young with a plaque in appreciation for his service as President. It was determined there was no additional business. The President thanked everyone for attending and adjourned the meeting at 8:38 a.m.
